Every day, your make up brushes pick up oil, make up, dirt and other particles that can clog pores and cause breakouts. Thats why it is essential you clean your brushes every week!
Colorescience have shared their top tips with us:
Clean your brushes at least once a week. This may seem like a lot, but your brushes hold more bacteria than you may think. When you buy a high-quality make up brush, maintaining the texture and cleanliness of the brush hairs will allow the brush to last longer and produce a better look.
Make sure you work the solution all the way through the brush hairs. With traditional brush cleaning, this process can be tricky. You have to be sure to evenly soak the brush, work the shampoo in and rinse thoroughly. Spray the solution onto a cloth, work it through the brush hairs and let it dry.
Leave time for your brushes to dry. If you wear mineral make up, you run the risk of mixing the powder with a wet brush, which will leave you with a clumpy mess and a dirty brush.
